Four Vanguard seniors received recognition from The College Board. Moshe Dolejsi, Caitlin Leslie and Dylan Losey were named National Merit Finalists. Jane Millar was named Commended Scholar.
The Vanguard College Preparatory School debate team won the Third Place Sweepstakes Trophy at the recent annual Snowflake Debate Classic held at Mexia High School on Jan. 15-16. Team members took first and third places in Public Forum Debate, first and second place in middle school Lincoln Douglas debate. They garned other medals and trophies in Congressional Debate. Coaches are Rebecca Melton and Suzanne Kelly.

Tuesday November 24th the annual Alumni Games and first annual Lettermen’s Association Tailgate Reception will commence at the Vanguard gym. Festivities begin at 5:30pm with $3.00 burgers and brauts! All current students, Vanguard families, friends and Alumni and their families are invited to attend. Come see all the updates to the gym and visit with Vikings from yesteryear as they try to still run up and down the court.
