Viking debaters made a strong showing at their first tournament of the year on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Temple. Junior Garrett Faulkenbery took first place in Impromptu, second place in Lincoln-Douglas and second place in Public Forum Debate as part of a team with senior Elizabeth Powell. Though the Vikings couldn’t score in their football debut, they showed great spirit and look to the future

On the morning of Saturday, Aug, 27, 2011, Vanguard College Preparatory School made history, as its first-ever football team suited up and hit the field. The site of the historical event was the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco — and an enthusiastic crowd showed up in force, even in the excruciating heat, which hit 100 degrees before noon. On Saturday, September 3rd, Vanguard will have it’s first Football Homecoming Game. It will be against Bell County ECHO and will be held at Parkview Christian Academy on Lakeshore Dr. (click here for map to the football field)

A Tailgate Pep Rally will be held on the Vanguard campus before the game from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm and will be sponsored by the Vanguard Letterman’s Association.
