Founded in 1973 in Waco, Texas on a collegiate style, 8.5 acre campus, Vanguard College Preparatory School is a private, independent, coeducational day school for students in grades 7-12.  Learn more.

AT VANGUARD:

— Vanguard class of 2010 average SAT score 1255 (critical reading and math combined) 27 percent higher than the Texas average(992).

— SAT scores above average as confirmed by  National Merit Scholarship —  from 1994 to 2012, 45 National Merit Finalists.


Competitive


— Since 2002, qualified for the national debate tournament.

— First place in Division 1 of the 2012 Knowledge Master Open.

— 2012 varsity golf team brought back eighth consecutive TAPPS State Championship.

—  Literary magazine, Liquid Paper, ranked superior by the 2011 National Council of Teachers of English.
