The Vanguard Football Team (7-2, 3-0) wrapped up district play Friday night with a 65-19 victory over Round Rock Concordia (1-9, 0-3). The Vikings started the game with a 16-0 lead after two onside kick recoveries and never looked back. Kaden Herbert continued to roll, rushing for 157 yards and 4 TDs. Logan Borg also added 80 yards on the ground with 2 TDs. Kobe Thomas was on fire as well, connecting for long TD passes to Pierce Snokhous, Jackson Davis, and Elijah Wade in the game. The Viking defense was strong all night, forcing multiple turnovers including an interception in the end zone by Carter Klepper midway through the first quarter. The Vikings now take aim at the TAPPS Div. I playoffs, where they will host Giddings State (3-6) on Saturday, Nov. 18th at 5 PM.
