The Vanguard College Preparatory School high school tennis team won the District-1 Championship in boys’ team and boys’ doubles in what may be the toughest district in Class 4A TAPPS. Coached by Greta Knoll, the team qualified 7 players for the state meet over the two-day tournament at Arlington Tennis Center. The 4A TAPPS state tournament will be played at Waco Regional Tennis & Fitness, April 8-9.

Boys’ Singles Runner Up, State Qualifier: James Merchant (Soph)

Girls’ Singles Consolation Singles Champion: Sarah Emerson (Soph)
