The Vanguard Football Team (4-1) had their first loss of the season Friday night, falling to May HS (5-0) by a score of 59-14. The Vikings had trouble overcoming the wet conditions and turned the ball over several times throughout the game. May, one of the top teams in UIL Div. I, had not given up an offensive touchdown all season until the second quarter of the game when the Vikings were able to score on a run by Kaden Herbert and a touchdown pass by Kobe Thomas to Jackson Davis. We will look to rebound this week as Watauga Harvest Christian (3-1) travels to Waco to take on the Vikings Friday night at Paul Tyson. Come on out and cheer on your team! Go Vikings!
