PLAYOFF WIN! – Next Game Sat, Feb 23rd in Bryan at 6:30pm

The TAPPS 4A Area playoffs tipped at Vanguard’s gym Tuesday night, and the playoff game lived up to its billing.

First off, it was a great recognition of the Senior Athletes in Drum Line/Cheerleading/Soccer and Basketball, highlighting all those kids’ accomplishments! Once the game started, it was fast and furious, with the 1st quarter ending deadlocked at 23.  Vanguard took the lead into halftime by 2 points, and stretched that to end the 3rd quarter leading 51-45.  Their opponents would stage a furious rally, but the Vikings, led by 22 points from both Braden Black and Elijah Wade, and 11 clutch points from Luke Wilson, held on for a thrilling 66-64 victory.
