Camps have a wide range of sports, arts, and academic subjects to choose from, and our Vanguard teachers, coaches, and counselors are there every step of the way to make the learning fun!

Careful consideration goes into the planning of the summer camp schedule to ensure a challenging, yet enjoyable experience for all participants. Children from all schools are encouraged to attend Vanguard camps.

We take fun and learning seriously!

All camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon with a snack provided.

2022 Summer Camps

PLEASE NOTE: Your child WILL NOT be registered for camps until payment is received through PayPal.

 

INSTRUCTIONS: You must fill out the form below for each child being registered. You must pay for each child individually through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to use a credit card with PayPal.

 

If you are registering multiple children, or registering one child for multiple camps, you will pay $95 per child, per camp.

2022 Summer Camps

June Camps (You may check multiple camps)

Preschool Music Camp. Location: Jaworski Music Room. June 6-10 (3-6 years old). Instructor: Orchestra Director, Mrs. Katie James. ***Camp to be capped at 15 Campers. Music is for everyone! This class helps toddlers and young children develop their aural and musical skills by singing, dancing, tapping, and rhyming. Additional activities include some art and story time. Intended for ages 3-6. Parents are welcome (but not required) to participate.
Location: Bostick Room 207. June 6-10 (6-12 years old). Instructor: Science, Mr. Jacob Lefebvre. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Young campers discover the joy of building models and structures. Students follow instructions that guide them with goal oriented building, with LEGO and other materials. They build several models during the week, each of which introduces them to different ideas. In the process they learn concepts in science. Students work and build hands-on models that move and learn to problem solve and make things work. Campers are introduced to a variety of science vocabulary and they learn how to apply them to the projects they are doing.
Location: CCC. June 6-10 (8-14 years old). Instructor: Social Science, Ms. Lyndsay Cole. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Do you love playing board games? Are you interested in playing new ones? Have you ever had a great board game idea and wanted to create your own? If you answered yes, then board game camp is for you! From Uno to Clue to Catan, this camp will have the game for you! You can also create your own game on your own or with friends! Come play with us!
Location: Gym 1. June 6-10 (5-11 years old). Instructor: Volleyball Coach, Ms. Faith Chavez. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. Open to girls and boys, this camp will be an introduction to volleyball fundamentals and skills. Campers will be divided by age and/or skill level to maximize instruction.
Location: Jaworksi/ Mountainview Park June 6-10 (4-9 years old). Instructor: Soccer Coach, Mr. Ruben Tucker. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. Boys and girls will work on footwork, passing, and developing a stronger position knowledge and game strategy. General soccer terms will be implemented. Competition and game-like situations will be utilized. Campers will be grouped by age and experience to maximize instruction.
Location: CCC. June 13-17 (6-14 years old). Instructor: Social Science, Ms. Lyndsay Cole. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Have you ever wished you could go to Hogwarts? For a week, you can! Make your own wand, find out your Hogwarts house, brew your own potion, learn how to Wizard Duel, play quidditch or wizard’s chess, and more at our Harry Potter summer camp! Live the magic!
Location: Bostick Room 207. June13-17 (6-12 years old). Instructor: Science, Mr. Jacob Lefebvre. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Secret Agent Squad is a unique summer camp experience that allows kids to learn spy skills and use their spy training on exciting missions at the end of each camp week. Campers will become junior agents as they receive clues, interact with operatives and solve missions each week.
Location: Gym 1. June 13-17 (4-9 years old). Instructor: Basketball Coach, Mr. Caleb Stanford. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. This camp will feature a different sport each day – Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track, and will finish off with the Vanguard Olympics.
Location: Jaworski Commons. June 13-17 (4-9 years old). Instructor: Alumni Cheer Captain, Ms. Haydin Davis. ***Camp to be capped at 25 Campers. Go Vikings! Cheer with the Vanguard cheerleaders and learn what school spirit truly means!
Location: Blue Lab. June 13-17 (3-6 years old). Instructor: Faculty & Fine Arts Director, Mrs. Katie James. ***Camp to be capped at 15 Campers. All children LOVE to make handmade gifts for the important people in their lives. All children also enjoy moving and being active. This camp is designed to get our heart rates up with dance and fun movement while also taking the time to hone the fine motor skills. We will paint, do sidewalk chalk, and make lots of gifts from the heART, all the while discovering all the cool things our bodies can do when we move!

Location: Gym 1. July 11-15 (4-9 years old). Instructor: Mr. Chris Bell. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. This camp will feature a different sport each day – Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track, and will finish off with the Vanguard Olympics.
Location: Bostick Room 207. July 11-15 (6-12 years old). Instructor: Science, Mr. Jacob Lefebvre. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Building totally awesome projects each day!
Location: Jaworski Commons. July 11-15 (8-12 years old). Instructor: Fine Arts & Theatre , Mr. William Priest. ***Camp to be capped at 15 Campers. Have you always wanted to learn to sew but didn’t know where to start? Join this Introduction to Sewing camp to learn the basics of choosing fabrics, reading patterns, cutting pieces, and using sewing machines. Materials and sewing machines are provided, and campers get to keep all the items they make!
Location: CCC. July 11-15 (4-7 years old). Instructor: Theatre Director @ Lake Air Montessori , Ms. Ruzica Oldja. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. We will read a story each day, play games, color, make different kinds of puppets, and take turns acting out the story from memory.
Location: Jaworski Music Room. July 18-22 (6-12 years old). Instructor: Fine Arts Director, Mrs. Katie James. ***No Cap for Campers. Sing, Sing, Sing! Campers will discover how they can make music with their voices! Students will learn how to sing some of their favorite songs together using good breath control and focused sound.
Location: Bostick Room 207. July 18-22 (4-8 years old). Instructor: Science, Mr. Jacob Lefebvre. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Explore the outer space by learning about an assortment of planets, stars and moons through videos, art, and games.
Location: CCC. July 18-22 (8+ years old). Instructor: Theatre Director @ Lake Air Montessori , Ms. Ruzica Oldja. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. We will learn over 20 basic improv warm up games, and the first rule of improv “yes and”
Location: Brown Room 111. July 25-29 (8-12 years old). Instructor: English Dept Head: Ms Sarah Lieber. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Campers will be working on writing stories and using words in creative ways to open the imagination and improve storytelling and writing skills.

Location: CCC. July 25-29 (8-12 years old). Instructor: Theatre Director @ Lake Air Montessori , Ms. Ruzica Oldja. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Basic card magic tricks and sleight of hand, balloon animals, and make your own ringmaster hat from cardboard.
Location: Gym 1. July 25-29 (4-9 years old). Instructor: Coach, Ms. Faith Chavez. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. This camp will feature a different sport each day – Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track, and will finish off with the Vanguard Olympics.

August Camps (You may check multiple camps)

Location: Jaworski Music Room. August 1-5 (3-6 years old). Instructor: Faculty & Fine Arts Director, Mrs. Katie James. ***Camp to be capped at 15 Campers. Music is for everyone! Location: Bostick Room 207. August 1-5 (6-12 years old). Instructor: Faculty Coach & Science, Mr. Jacob Lefebvre. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. Our Daring Detectives will learn how to find evidence, uncover clues and follow their hunches during this mystery-filled week of camp. Through hands-on projects like deciphering codes, invisible ink, scavenger hunts, and “interrogating” the witnesses.
Location: Gym 1. June 6-10 (5-9 years old). Instructor: Volleyball Coach, Ms. Faith Chavez. ***Camp to be capped at 40 Campers. Open to girls and boys, this camp will be an introduction to volleyball fundamentals and skills.

Middle School/High School (1pm-4pm)(You may check multiple camps)

Location: CCC. June 6-10 . Middle School & High School. Instructor: Theatre Director @ Lake Air Montessori , Ms. Ruzica Oldja. ***Camp to be capped at 20 Campers. We will use hot glue, box cutters, tape, paint, and other recyclable material to create your own handheld prop. Some ideas include Hats, books, masks, armor, picture frames, vases, a fire hydrant…. your imagination is the limit.
Location: Gym 1. July 11-15 . Middle School & High School. Instructor: Volleyball Coach, Ms. Faith Chavez. This program is designed to introduce fundamental volleyball movement and enhance both coordination and agility in a fun, relaxed setting,. The goal is to develop and strengthen motor skills necessary to advance to performing essential skills.
Location: Gym 1. July 18-22. Middle School & High School. Instructor: Basketball Coach, K. T. Vanguard is known for Basketball! Come learn basketball fundamentals. Campers will be divided by age to maximize instruction.

Cost $115 per week per child.
Multiple Sibling and Multiple Camp Discount of $95 per child per camp. Camps must have at least 10 campers to make. Select camps will be capped once spaces are filled.

The undersigned parent/guardian of the Vanguard camper does hereby release and discharge the curators of Vanguard College Preparatory School and its representatives, employees, and agents from any and all debts, claims, demands, actions, damages, causes of action, judgments, or suits of any kind which may arise or be occasional as a result of the camper’s participation in the Vanguard Summer Camp programs and hereby agree to have and indemnify and hold harmless the curators of Vanguard College Preparatory School, its representatives, employees, and agents against any and all liability, claims, judgments, or demands for damages arising as a result of any course instruction given to the camper.
