The faculty and staff of Vanguard School are committed to early prevention of the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
The goal is to continue Vanguard's academic excellence with a teaching and learning process by transitioning from a physical classroom to a virtual one on a temporary basis. All Student and Parent Communications will be posted in FACTS Announcements and also sent via Email to families. Please make sure parents and students are checking email often.
The faculty and staff of our school are committed to staying in touch and supporting you through this time.
In support of our multiple announcements regarding the COVID-19 virus and its potential impact on our school community, we will continue to closely monitor the situation based upon data and information within our local Central Texas community.
At this point and with the new pandemic definition, our entire Vanguard family needs to be committed to following the recommended procedures provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in order to prevent the additional spread of the virus.
Vanguard is completing this year through our classroom instruction via VirtualSchool.
Our students meet for each class and work with faculty on all assignments. I know there are many questions about VirtualSchool. Structure, clear communication, and teachers and students working together are of the utmost importance. Vanguard is focused on maintaining the health and safety of the Vanguard community and the Waco community.
We would be happy to answer any and all questions about our VirtualSchool structure and academics.
We are hoping for a great summer and to be able to open our campus for the first day of school next year! At the same time, we will be working all summer on all different plans to make sure the students have community, outstanding faculty, and an academic learning environment in person or virtually.
