The HS Basketball teams hosted McKinney Christian in 2 competitive boys games Friday night, and the games did not disappoint. In the JV Game, the Boys started slow and trailed the first 3 quarters. In the 4th quarter, the guys took control on their way to a 50-47 win. Uriel Ibarra led the team with 19 points and Dalton Sawyer added 15 to the win. In the Varsity Boys contest, the game stayed close with both teams trading shots and after 3 quarters, McKinney held the lead. But the Vikings started the 4th quarter with three 3-point field goals and never looked back winning 60-51. Braden Black led the team with 16 points. The Vikings moved to 6-0 in district play to maintain their position in 1st place. The guys will travel to Dallas Shelton on Tuesday for their next district contest.
