The Vanguard Football Team (1-0) took care of business Friday night at Paul Tyson Stadium, defeating Live Oak by a score of 68-22. After a sluggish start to the game, the Vikings got rolling and never looked back. Senior QB Luke Wilson finished the game with 339 yds passing and 7 TDs to 5 different receivers. On the defensive side of the ball, Jackson Davis led the squad, wreaking havoc in the Falcons backfield the whole night. For his efforts in the game, Carter Klepper (4 TDs, 2 INTs, 1 FR) was named the Waco Trib’s Sixman Player of the Week.
