The Varsity Volleyball team rebounded in a big way at the Saturday matches in the Groesbeck Tournament. The girls started the morning with a 25-20, 25-15 victory over Palestine. Next up, the girls took care of Dawson 25-17, 25-16, so through the first 2 matches, they didn’t drop a game. In the final match of the day, the girls topped University by a 2-1 score to earn the Championship of the Bronze Tournament Bracket. The Lady Vikings will look to make it 4 in a row against Bosqueville on Tuesday in a road game. Great job ladies!
MS VBALL The Middle School and High School Cross Country teams went across town to the Live Oak Meet, and had a great showing for the Vikings. In the high school division, the guys rolled to a team title in the JV division, with Jacob Suchecki winning the individual title, and Uriel Ibarra, Erik Knoll, and Karch Knoll placing in the top 10. In the Middle School boys Division, the team took 2nd place, but Parker Goodrum ran to the individual title in a strong field. Ryan Bailey joined him in the top 10 as well. Our ladies represented well in JV Girls and Middle school Girls, overall an outstanding meet with everyone there. All the runners return for their next meet Saturday at Crawford, excellent job runners!
